Mōdm Pedals

There are a couple young fellas in Milledgeville, GA making BRILLIANT electric guitar pedals with very snazzy design work. These are all analog, like the old days, and they sound even better than they look!

Dillon, who does all the custom artwork on the pedals, wanted some wild dreamy effects for the baby A/B pedal photos so I shot up-close through a backwards 50mm lens to get the veeeery short depth of field that Dillon was looking for.

Lookin sharp!

I know I talk about it a lot on here, but I am just blown away seeing the creativity my brother Stephan puts into his work. His knives are spectacular, and his more recent kitchen blades are no exception!

Running around

Keeping up with Carter was a workout- and we had a lot of laughs too!

Carter has a strong personality for a little guy his age. So when we had our early May family portrait session I made sure to let him feel like he got to run the show. I would suggest ideas to Carter for what he and his parents should do for the next photo and encourage him when he made the executive decision to do it. : )

Letting Carter “be in charge” kept him involved and excited about all the shots and because he felt like he got to be creative in each pose he was ALL IN!

Loggins

The Loggins’ family has expanded with the birth of a new baby boy!

Baby photos is all about patience – because they run on their own schedule, whether you have a camera out or not makes no difference to little Joel. : )

So as usual when taking baby photos with a new family that has a new baby I let them know up front that we’ll take whatever time we need and they can relax and don’t need to feel any pressure for the baby to be ready for his photo right now, and then ready for the next immediately. We instead start off with a few easy photos then give the baby a break before the next set of photos. This approach keeps things laid back and fun for everybody involved. We had a great time making photos with Joel!

StartupRiot

If you are an entrepreneur, small startup, or just a techie nerd- you’d love StartupRiot in Atlanta. This annual event features small startup businesses in a laid back but fast paced one day conference. This year StartupRiot was held at the Tabernacle, primarily a concert venue, and it was AWESOME!!! It was a pleasure shooting for them!

Elya Snow

Elya Snow has been planning and dreaming of moving to Uganda to work in an orphanage for as long as I have known her. Especially after her month long visit a few years ago to Buggadde Village, where she intends to return.

She has spent the last year caring for her brother who was disabled in an accident. The opportune time has finally come for Elya and she plans to make the move back to Buggadde Village in 2012!!! We did a quick shoot a few weeks ago produce a few images Elya could use on her blog and other media. She had a great idea to make a few signs with messages on them.
